Preparatory Departement

Preparatory Departement of the Krasnoyarsk State Medical University offers services to prospective students – foreign citizens, who plan to receive higher education in Russia.  At the Preparatory Departement, the students are offered 1-year (7-10 months) language and main subjects training for further education in Russian universities. It provides information on a wide range of topics, including immigration issues (work permits, travel), financial questions, social and cultural differences.

As to preparatory studies of the Medical  University, they include classes in general and organic chemistry, biology, biochemistry, physics, math and microbiology. Some courses may prefer that students also take advanced undergraduate science courses like anatomy, genetics, immunology, and neurobiology.

Every degree program has its own graduation requirements, so students may benefit from collaborating with their advisors to meet both degree and pre-medical requirements. This does not mean that a pre-medical student must major in a science; social sciences and humanities majors are also acceptable, as long as the prerequisite science courses are completed.
